Coral Beach Condos by Google Earth

Google Earth is excellent. It has really allowed me to see the massive disgustingness that is now Dawn Beach. It is interesting to see how little room is left at the Mr. Busby's beach access. No parking, the road is quite narrow, etc. Blech. Here are some pictures taken of the Coral Beach construction just a few days ago.

What's happening on Dawn Beach is very discouraging. I've been staying at Oyster Bay for years, and I always loved how pristine Dawn Beach was. Last year, all we could hear was the sound of the heavy machinery at the Westin development. They were literally carting away the hillside, one dump truck at a time.

Hi - thanks for leaving a comment.

Dawn Beach was always my favorite. I am lucky I got to live in the area for 7 years to enjoy the beach and the quiet on this side of the island, before the heavy equipment came. I also used to go for morning walks at Red Pond, but that will soon be getting the same treatment. I wish I had oodles of money, I'd buy up all the land and form a trust to keep the land construction free.

Well, the thing is, they don't really want us on the beach Jess. The same for Westin who will also be managing Coral Beach.

Check out the prices.

It's almost hilarious if they weren't being serious. $1-2 million for a box stacked up alongside a bunch of other boxes. So it's got a beach, a pool (or whirlpool), big f*&^)$#g deal say I. You've got to be a dumbass to buy one.

And then, what about Global Warming?

Both of them will allow for some public parking spaces, yet we all know they will not be many. If you recall, Dawn Beach probably had an average of 40 or 50 cars parked up on Sundays, mainly local residents. The Westin ad itself by the GB Auditorium says "Imagine a beach to call your very own!"

These are big money people and all they care about is making money to please shareholders and their own bank mangers.

Hi Flipper - I know, that Westin ad really bugs me. "Imagine a beach to call your very own!" Well, I am calling it MY own as well, and that ad makes me want to think up obnoxious and intrusive ways to do it. Loud BBQs on the beach, 6AM revelie, things like that.

I actually saw another ad in Conde Nast traveller or something similar, and it mentions the "nearby" Greg Norman designed golf course in Anguilla.

Coral Beach seems to have 21 condos for sale, and they have sold 3. Looks like buyers are not very enthusiastic about the layout either.
